Chuck Knabusch

Chuck Knabusch is the founder and principal of 13Ten Business Solutions, LLC.

​

He spent nine years in the US Army, seven active and two in the Michigan Army National Guard leading teams to install and maintain communications across the 1st Cavalry Division, supporting battalion-level units. While serving, he was instrumental in the deployment of the first digital, cellular communications system and later training his National Guard unit on its intricacies and application.  The military taught him the importance of running an efficient operation.

He then spent twenty-eight years in various positions and functional departments including IT, Materials, Quality, Logistics, Project Management and Manufacturing Operations at La-Z-Boy Incorporated, a multi-billion dollar manufacturing company working across numerous sites and facilities throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, England and Thailand.  

• He managed $80 million dollar manufacturing operations, created a logistics division, and was instrumental in saving $35 million with the implementation of cellular manufacturing and lean principles.

• His time there included maintaining production despite his plant being hit by a tornado and implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning system.

Since then, he has founded, 13Ten Business Solutions, LLC. While his initial client had been his former employer (with whom he helped establish multiple manufacturing sites in Mexico and improved their productivity and efficiency), Chuck works to support and assist various leaders, businesses and organizations improve their operations resulting in bottom line performance improvement while giving leaders back more time through:

He has spent decades helping business leaders and managers gain solutions for useless meetings, missed customer deadlines, stretched budgets, and lack of time for their personal life.  His solution-focused leadership style has helped companies reduce costs and utilize resources to meet time-critical deadlines.

He now resides in southeast Texas (SETX) with his wife and regularly commutes to southeast Michigan to visit family and friends. He is available for business consulting and coaching to help business owners, leaders and managers run their businesses before their businesses run them!

He’s the International bestselling author of Hope Is Not A Business Strategy, a guide to prevent most problems through leadership, planning and execution.  Currently, he applies his knowledge and experience helping others as a Vistage Chair, coaching CEO’s through his peer advisory group in Beaumont / Port Arthur, Texas.
